Bottling is integral to ensuring product quality and consistency and meeting regulatory requirements and consumer expectations for safe and convenient packaging.

 

Home brewing is a exciting and rewarding hobby, and bottling your brew is a crucial step. Here are some steps to follow when bottling your homebrew:

  1. Clean and sanitise your bottles and equipment. Removing dirt or debris from your bottles and sanitising them to prevent contamination is essential.
  2. Transfer your beer from the fermenter to a bottling bucket, leaving behind any sediment at the bottom of the fermenter.
  3. Add priming sugar to the bottling bucket. Sugar will help create carbonation in the bottles.
  4. Fill each bottle with beer using a bottling wand or tube. Leave about an inch of space at the top of the bottle to allow for carbonation.
  5. Cap the bottles using a bottle capper.
  6. Store your bottles in a warm, dark place for a few weeks to allow carbonation to occur. Once the bottles are carbonated, move them to a cool place for storage.
