- Take the stems from the strawberries and wash the fruit
- Mash the berries well and mix with the sugar and 2 L of water
- Leave for 24 to 36 hours
- Strain the liquor into a fermenting jar
- Add a further litre or quart of water to the pulp, mix well and immediately strain again.
- At the grape tannin, yeast nutrient and wine yeast, make up to 4.5 L (1 gallon) with cold water.
- Stir thoroughly, fit an airlock and continue as usual.
