Yeast nutrient

 

 

 

 

  • Take the stems from the strawberries and wash the fruit
  • Mash the berries well and mix with the sugar and 2 L of water
  • Leave for 24 to 36 hours
  • Strain the liquor into a fermenting jar
  • Add a further litre or quart of water to the pulp, mix well and immediately strain again.
  • At the grape tannin, yeast nutrient and wine yeast, make up to 4.5 L (1 gallon) with cold water.
  • Stir thoroughly, fit an airlock and continue as usual.
